Three Of Fabco’s Stormwater Products Approved In CA
Fabco Industries’ stormwater products approved in CA for trash and debris capture. The California State Water Resources Control Board has certified three more of Fabco Industries’ innovative and cost-effective trash and debris filtration products.
These three stormwater products approved in CA met the Board’s rigorous Certified Multi-Benefit Trash Treatment Systems standards to achieve certification for the full capture of trash and debris in stormwater runoff.
As explained on the California Stormwater Quality Association’s website, “The Trash Provisions define a full capture system as a treatment control, or series of treatment controls, including but not limited to, a multi-benefit project or a low impact development control that traps all particles that are 5-millimeter or greater, and has a design treatment capacity that is either not less than the peak flow rate resulting from a one-year, one-hour storm event (design storm) in the subdrainage area, or appropriately sized and designed to carry at least the same flows as the corresponding storm drain.”
California municipalities and stormwater professionals can now choose three of Fabco’s stormwater products approved in CA: StormSack, StormBasin and ScreenBox as well as the previously approved Connector Pipe Screen for their stormwater management needs.

The organization is recognized as a gold standard in stormwater quality assessment, with a mandate of advancing sustainable stormwater management protective of California water resources
Another associated stormwater industry organization The California Stormwater Quality Association worked with a network of professionals that provide leadership in sustainable statewide stormwater policies, regulations, and programs. They provide resources that educate and train people involved in the stormwater field, both the public and technical product providers. The California State Water Resources Control Boards approval is difficult to receive due to their high standards, but Fabco Industries has done so, now with three important products. Here are the stormwater products approved in CA:
- StormSack, a geotextile catch basin insert filtration device designed to capture sediment, trash and debris found in stormwater runoff. This geotextile-based filter provides high treatment flow rates while capturing fine sediments and other solids contained in stormwater runoff with a replaceable filter bag offering a treated flow rate of 145 GPM/ft². Designed for flat, combination, and open curb style drain inlets, the StormSack is highly customizable in terms of shapes and sizes, thanks to the adjustable aluminum frame.
- StormBasin, a cartridge-based inlet filtration device designed to remove and/or neutralize pollutants commonly found in stormwater. Fabco produces several types of cartridges to handle an array of pollutants, including but not limited to: sediment, trash & debris, nutrients, coliform bacteria, hydrocarbons (oils & grease), and heavy metals.
- ScreenBox is a grate inlet skimmer box, a curb inlet skimmer box and a curb inlet basket retrofit filter insert for new and existing storm drain inlets or catch basin inserts. The design traps sediment and debris, all while allowing runoff water to pass through the filter and exit through the storm drain system. The Screen Box can be used for many typical applications, such as such as transportation centers, vehicle maintenance facilities, gas stations/fueling locations and industrial applications.
