LIFT the Catch Basin Grate Cover
Start by lifting the catch basin grate using the proper tools. This provides access to the inlet where the insert filter will be placed.
This can be any one of our catch basin insert filters, such as the StormSack, StormBasin or ScreenBox.
MEASURE the Clear Space
Measure the distance between the ledges inside the catch basin to ensure a precise fit. Adjust the flanges on the filter unit accordingly for a secure and stable placement.
All StormSack, StormBasin and ScreenBox units come with 2” of adjust range (X & Y) to ensure a perfect fit at every jobsite!
DROP the Filter In
Once the unit is properly adjusted, simply drop it into the inlet! The filter rests on the grate frame ledges, and is now ready to capture pollutants and protect waterways from harmful debris, sediment, and contaminants like bacteria, nutrients and hydrocarbons.
