Fabco is once again revolutionizing how we address front of pipe water quality stormwater issues with new cartridge filter box units. Designed to treat stormwater at the source, the cartridge filter box is installed inside an inlet in front of the outlet pipe. This allows trash and debris to collect in the catch basin vault where maintenance can still easily be done with vac truck services.
This is ideal for municipalities or industrial clients with irregular maintenance schedules, as it allows some extra time between inlet clean outs while still addressing the water quality issue at the source before flowing into local waterbodies. This solution is available in addition to traditional at-grade-level solutions (such as StormSack or StormBasin) and in tiehr case, these retrofits do not require crews tearing up streets to meet water quality or trash & debris mandates.

While trash and debris are safely collected in the inlet, the water continues to flow through the Fabco Industries cartridge filter, treating the water for specific pollutants such as hydrocarbons, nutrients and even heavy metals or bacteria. Pre-screening can also be specified.
