Review Information Needed on Open Curb Inlet Interior Dimensions and Recording it on the Survey Form
All Fabco Industries Water Quality Inserts (WQIs) are manufactured to properly fit inlets by using specific information compiled in a survey of the “as-built” inlet. The Fabco Grate/Inlet Survey form serves as the tool to provide that information.
Measuring Open Curb Inlet Interior Measurements
Securing accurate interior measurements of the inlet structure is critical and straight forward.
The form only has three fields for the interior dimensions.
If any of these dimensions change from side to side or front to back within the structure, please use the smaller of the measurements.
Example One: The Width at the front of the interior of the structure (Side 2) is 7’10”, the Width at the back of the interior of the structure (Side 4) is 8’0” – use the smaller 7’10” measurement for “(K) Width of Structure” on the survey form.
Example Two: The Length at “Side 1” of the interior of the structure is 6’4”, the Length at the “Side 3” of the interior of the structure is 6’0” – use the smaller 6’0” measurement for “(J) Length of Structure” on the survey form.
